Chrysochoidis Art gallery has more than 50 years of history, with the gallery being founded by Dimitris Chrysochoidis in 1970. Since it has been passed on to the next generation of the family and continues its dynamic presence in the field of art.
Throughout the years we have exhibited in our collection unique works of art and antiques from all over the world. We have managed important private collections with great artistic creations of the period 17th – 19th century.
In recent years, our gallery showcases the diversity and complexity of the world of art, hosting in a specially designed space in our facilities a collection of paintings and sculptures by renowned Greek and foreign artists of the 20th and 21st century. Works by leading artists such as Yannis Moralis, Yannis Gaitis, Alekos Fassianos, Dimitris Mytaras, Thanos Tsingos, Nikos Kessanlis, Takis, Vlassis Kaniaris, Georgios Zongolopoulos and many others compose an impressive collection.
Furniture and decorative items by important designers of the 20th century such as Arne Jacobsen, Poul Kjaerholm, Eero Saarinen, Charlotte Perriand, Warren Planter, Hans Wegner, Achille et Pier Giacomo Castiglioni and others combine tradition with innovation and satisfy the various aesthetic preferences of the art audience.
During the 20th century the design of furniture transformed from the reproduction of historical styles to the creation of truly modern furniture that relied on beautiful materials, high aesthetic detail and inventive functionality for everyday life. Handmade masterpieces as well as emblematic works of industrial design are restored and reconstructed to preserve creations of significant personalities of the past century.
We operate with very strict criteria regarding authenticity of the art pieces we trade. In cooperation with specialised appraisers in Greece, as well as on an international scale, we examine and evaluate throughly each item before coming into our collection.

Antiques Chrisochoidis specializes in refinishing, repairing and restoring antique furniture, chandeliers, porcelain and ceramics.
Any pieces that enter our workshop are altered as little as possible. Any restoration work done serves the purpose of recreating its original state.
We only use shellac polish in order to gain the glowing quality and exceptional warm red-brown tones typical in antique furniture.
We only use light stable color pigments on our paints, and non-yellowing epoxies when repairing porcelain. Any missing pieces are recreated to obtain an invisible repair.
We have a large collection of antique crystals in order to recreate the original state of restored chandeliers.
