Born in Thessaloniki in 1959, she studied Painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts under Dimosthenis Kokkinidis (1978-1983) and at the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London on a Greek state scholarship (1983-1984). Her practice, however, is a combination of painting, sculpture, and environment in three-dimensional compositions crafted from all manner of material: wood, paper, plaster, paint mediums, cardboard, newspapers, and fabric. Human figures drawn from everyday life are a characteristic part of her enterprise. These figures define the space and on their own create a specific environment with minimal auxiliary attributes.
